The Bending Spoons Software Engineering Training Program is a six-month program designed to help close the gender gap in the tech industry. It equips driven individuals with the technical foundation needed to launch an impressive engineering career.
You don’t need a computer science background or any specific experience to be eligible for the program. You do need to be deeply interested in the field, and highly motivated to learn.
After getting up to speed on the latest technologies through intensive study and training sessions, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on real projects. And, depending on your performance during the program, you may even be considered for a potential job offer at Bending Spoons.
As part of the program, you have the option to either relocate to Milan—with the first three months of accommodation expenses covered—or participate remotely. Either way, you can expect an extensive, dynamic learning experience and the opportunity to break into the professional world of tech.

- Willingness to learn. We use Python for backend, and Swift and Kotlin for mobile. But it's not a problem if you have little or no experience with them, as long as you’re enthusiastic about learning. We’d be happy to teach you!

- Competitive salary and stock options. Our compensation packages are designed to attract and retain the best talent in the industry. The compensation package for this training program includes a salary of €43,927 and a welfare bonus of €1,200. With this training program, we assume that you have no relevant background or experience and are joining to learn the basics of computer science for six months. Should we determine in the selection process for this training program that your actual expertise is higher and that you’re a great candidate for a standard position at Bending Spoons, we’ll consider you for that. In that case, the entry level compensation would be €63,965, and the contract will be for a minimum of 12 months. Compensation can grow rapidly as the individual accumulates experience and translates it into greater and greater impact. You also have the option to receive some of your pay in company ownership (equity) at a discounted rate. Also, Italy grants individuals willing to relocate a 50% tax exemption on Italian-sourced income.

The selection process
We welcome applications in English and Italian. If you pass our screening, we’ll ask you to take on a few tests that assess how you approach unfamiliar problems. If you’re successful with those, we’ll invite you to a series of interviews.
