Your mission: Build extraordinary products that customers can’t live without.

Since launching in 2013, Bending Spoons has served around half a billion people across the globe through our suite of cutting-edge products. Still, we’ve only just crossed the starting line on our mission to make an enduring positive impact on our customers, on our fellow Spooners, and on society at large.

With our product line improving and expanding and our sights set on becoming one of the greatest companies the world’s ever seen, we’re committed to raising the bar on our strategic product management. That’s why we’re looking for that single-minded someone who’s obsessed with building extraordinary, enormously impactful high-value products. You need to come expecting lots of hard work, massive development, and great responsibility.

A few examples of your responsibilities

  • Investigate the world through the customers’ eyes with the goal of understanding them and solving their problems. This entails extensive customer, market, and competitor research as well as close collaboration with our customer support team in the hunt for improvements and opportunities.
  • Study and improve the business model of your product, prioritizing initiatives with the highest potential to unlock significant value. Push teammates to do the same, so that as a group you realize the greatest ideation and implementation power possible.
  • Know your product’s numbers inside out and continuously analyze the data to solidly support your decision making.
  • Distill all the inputs into a strategy and a roadmap for your product, marrying wild ambition with rationality and pragmatism. Plan carefully and guide all stakeholders in executing the vision.
  • Deeply evaluate and ponder the impact of your experiments and initiatives and follow up on them to iterate an always-better product strategy.

What we look for

  • A burning ambition to build amazing products. You’re obsessed with building extraordinary products that unlock business value and that customers just can't live without.
  • Logical-analytical abilities. You’re able to objectively evaluate complex information, arguments, and situations. You’re used to applying logical deduction to tackle sophisticated problems, and this has often allowed you to solve difficult intellectual challenges.
  • Drive. Your dedication matches the intensity of your ambition. You’re willing to put in the hard work necessary to achieve your goals, and the highly demanding challenges in your track record are proof of your relentless spirit.
  • Curiosity and initiative. Rather than waiting to be told what to do, you’re forever hunting down new opportunities and testing fresh ideas. You’ve consistently and actively participated in independent projects, and you’re an endless source of innovative ideas.
  • Tenacity. Once you have a goal, there’s no stopping you! Failure doesn’t discourage you—after every stumble, you get right back up and try again.
  • Common sense. Your judgment and intuition are sound and well grounded in reality.
  • Pragmatism. Far from being too academic or obsessive in your perfectionism, you understand that speed is often as important as quality when getting things done in a competitive world.
  • Confidence in your role. Once onboarded and up to speed, you won’t wait to be told what to do or require constant positive feedback to know you’re on the right track.
  • Communication skills. You can pose questions with clarity and explain your reasoning concisely.
  • Proficiency in English. You read, write, and speak proficiently in English.

What we offer

  • Real impact. We automate most menial tasks, freeing you up to focus your expertise where it can make the biggest impact.
  • Unique career opportunity. By joining a fast-growing company on a mission to become one of the world's greatest, it’s an unparalleled opportunity to turbocharge your learning and career prospects.
  • Flexibility and trust. From day one, you’ll be one of the team and fully trusted. No micromanagement or clipping your wings—just the freedom and responsibility to do great work.
  • Talented, knowledgeable colleagues. Learn from (and teach) some of the brightest and most skilled people you’ll ever meet. Your talent is going to blossom here.
  • International reach. We’re a global company, and your work will have worldwide exposure.
  • Continuous education. Spooners get unlimited backing for learning investments, including Italian or English lessons and things like courses, conferences, and books. There’s no permission or approval process—you’re fully trusted to use the company’s resources efficiently.
  • Flexible schedule. Our regular hours are 9-6 GMT+1, with remote work allowed within GMT-2 to GMT+3 time zones.
  • Remote working. Spend as much or as little time in our Milan office as you choose. Many Spooners like to change up their environment and get out of the city whenever the mood strikes. You’ve always got the freedom to decide where today’s office is.
  • People who lift up one another. We hire for talent and leave the ego at the door. You'll find a group of truly talented Spooners who are eager to teach their secrets and to learn. Reciprocal support and respect is everything—you’re unlikely to ever encounter a more harmonious crew.
  • Competitive pay and access to equity in the company. Typically, we offer an individual at the start of their career a salary of £54,545 in the UK and €52,246 elsewhere. Pay grows rapidly as you accumulate experience and translate it into greater impact. You can also receive some of your pay in company equity at a discounted price, thus participating in the value creation we achieve together. If relocating to Italy, you may enjoy a 50% tax cut.

Before you apply

Bending Spoons is a demanding environment: We’re extremely ambitious and we ask a lot of ourselves and one another. So if you like the role and are ready to give your very best, don’t hesitate to apply.

The selection process

If you pass our screening, we’ll ask you to take on a few tests that assess how you approach unfamiliar problems. If you’re successful with those, we’ll invite you to a series of interviews.
