Your mission: Build a loyal and ever-expanding client base for a product with purpose.

Since launching in 2013, Bending Spoons has served around half a billion people across the globe through our suite of cutting-edge products. Still, we’ve only just crossed the starting line on our mission to make an enduring positive impact on our customers, on our fellow Spooners, and on society at large.

We’ve just partnered with Humamy, an innovative start-up with an incredibly promising plant-based product — and the potential to shake up the food industry. We believe it has a concrete shot at impacting the fight against some of the biggest challenges facing humanity: unsustainable eating habits, animal cruelty, and climate change.

We’re committed to giving Humamy its best chance at becoming a global success. To achieve this, we’re looking for someone with an exceptional sense of ownership who’ll embrace the mission fully and help us grow the brand’s client base.

You’ll make Humamy the brand people think of when they think of eating healthy, sustainable, delicious food.

A few examples of your responsibilities

  • Design, organize, and run in-person sales-oriented initiatives, such as tasting events, to attract and convert potential customers. Personally engage with attendees to foster positive brand recognition.
  • Drive the development, launch, and success measurement of offline marketing campaigns with limited budgets.
  • Participate in the business development of the product and contribute to the creation of effective marketing campaigns across diverse offline channels.
  • Report offline campaign learnings and key performance metrics.

What we look for

  • Passion. You have a genuine love for the field. You investigate the subject extensively and are always up to date with the latest developments.
  • A hands on attitude. Because you own the mission, when you see something that needs to be done, you do it.
  • Drive. Your dedication matches the intensity of your ambition. You’re willing to put in the hard work necessary to achieve your goals, and the highly demanding challenges in your track record are proof of your relentless spirit.
  • Tenacity. Once you have a goal, there’s no stopping you! Failure doesn’t discourage you—after every stumble, you get right back up and try again.
  • Curiosity and initiative. Rather than waiting to be told what to do, you’re forever hunting down new opportunities and testing fresh ideas. You’ve consistently and actively participated in independent projects, and you’re an endless source of innovative ideas.
  • Proficiency in Italian. You read, write, and speak proficiently in Italian.
  • Organization and structure. You’re meticulously organized and superbly structured, so you can handle multiple tasks and responsibilities with poise and precision.
  • Logical-analytical abilities. You’re able to objectively evaluate complex information, arguments, and situations. You’re used to applying logical deduction to tackle sophisticated problems, and this has often allowed you to solve difficult intellectual challenges.
  • You live in Milan, or are ready to relocate. This position requires you to work in Milan most of your time.
  • You can work at least 25 hours per week. A full-time commitment is preferred, but we’ll consider applicants who can commit to around 25 hours per week.

What we offer

  • Inspiring mission. Humamy has the potential to transform humanity’s relationship with food, and positively impact the planet in many ways. And by embracing this mission, you’ll become part of an exciting and wildly ambitious journey.
  • Trust and freedom. From the minute you start, you’re one of the team and trusted absolutely. You’ll have plenty of freedom and opportunity to deliver at your best.
  • One-of-a-kind team. We hire for talent and leave the ego at the door. You'll find a tribe of truly talented teammates who are eager to teach their secrets and to learn. Reciprocal support and respect is everything—you’re unlikely to ever encounter a more harmonious crew. Your talent is going to blossom here.
  • Lightning-fast learning. By joining a fast-growing start-up with its sights set on becoming one of the world's greatest companies in the food sector, you’ll have an unparalleled opportunity to accelerate your learning and career prospects.
  • Generous relocation package. If you need to relocate for the position, we typically cover reasonable transportation and moving expenses, provide up to three months of temporary accommodation, and help you and your close family members with visa support if necessary.
  • Flexible time off. Each year, full-time Humamy employees may get additional paid time off.
  • Competitive compensation. Our compensation package is highly competitive, and can grow rapidly and include stock options, depending on your performance and seniority.
  • Generous parental leave. One fully paid month in addition to what the law states where the employee lives for new mums, with the same additional terms also offered to dads (including for adoption). For example, in Italy we offer six months of fully paid maternity leave for women and 40 days for men.

The selection process

If you pass our screening, we’ll ask you to take on a few tests designed to assess how you approach unfamiliar problems. They’re challenging and may take several hours to complete. If you’re successful with those, we’ll invite you to a series of interviews. We set the bar high and won't extend an offer until we're convinced we've found the right candidate. This is why a job may stay open for months or be reposted several times. Studies suggest that women tend not to apply for a job if their CV isn’t a perfect fit. Here, talent takes precedence over experience. So if you like the role and think you could be awesome at it in time, go ahead and apply. Bending Spoons is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We consider for employment any applicant and provide reasonable accommodations for an individual with disabilities—just let us know through this form.

Before you apply

If you’ve applied before but didn’t receive an offer, we recommend waiting at least one year before applying again.

Bending Spoons is a demanding environment. We’re extremely ambitious and we hold ourselves—and one another—to a high standard. While this tends to lead to extraordinary learning, achievement, and career growth, it also requires significant commitment.

To help you ramp up quickly and set yourself up for success, we expect you to spend most days in our Milan office during your first few months with us, regardless of your long-term work location. It’s the best way to rapidly absorb our company culture and build trust with your new teammates. We’ll support you with generous travel and accommodation assistance. After that, you’re welcome to work from one of our offices, or remotely from approved countries—depending on what we agree at the offer stage.

If the role speaks to you and you’re excited to give your best, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now—we can’t wait to meet you.
